How do I take down Misty in leaf green w/ charmeleon?
Like most, my first thought when starting was CHARIZARD. Charmander/Charmeleon worked extremely well for Brock and everyone, but now I’m on Misty and getting my butt whooped. Badly. Most of my pokemon are low-levelers (10’s and 11’s- drowzee, etc), but I have two all-stars- Pidgeotto and Charmeleon. Char’s lvl 29, and Pidgeotto is 25. But, as Char can’t last very long, I’m reduced to desperately fighting both her her starfish with Pidgeotto, who almost takes both of them out. But the second one, forgot the name, the purple one, hits so hard I’m spending all of my turns trying to heal the damage it deals right back. Inevitably I run out of potions, and the second attack after that finishes Pidgeotto, bringing out Char, who dies extremely quickly. I tried getting Pikachu to shock them, but I’m locked in where I am until I beat Misty to use cut. I’ve already beaten all of the trainers around, even on the boat.
What do I do?
One of the most annoying things in any Pokemon game is when you can’t beat a gym leader. One of the things that always helped me was to go back to a grassy area and just train your Pidgeotto until it is about level 30. While training there, you may want to train your other Pokemon so that you won’t have that much trouble again. I know it is a boring way to do it, but it is one of the easiest ways.
